Capital Markets & Securities Associate — Los Angeles

An internationally recognized corporate practice is seeking associates with two to seven years of capital markets and public securities experience to join its Los Angeles office. The role involves representing companies and underwriters in public securities offerings, including IPOs and other equity or equity-linked transactions, with a focus on the technology, consumer/retail, and life sciences sectors.

The successful candidate will also advise public companies on corporate governance, SEC and exchange reporting, and compliance matters, while managing client relationships and handling day-to-day workflow for sophisticated clients.

Ideal candidates will have worked in the capital markets department of a national or international law firm and demonstrate a high level of academic achievement from a nationally recognized law school.

• 2–7 years of capital markets and public securities experience
• Experience representing companies and/or underwriters in public securities offerings, including IPOs and equity or equity-linked transactions
• Experience advising public companies on corporate governance, SEC and exchange reporting, and compliance
• Strong client relationship management skills and ability to handle day-to-day workflow for sophisticated clients
• Prior experience in the capital markets department of a national or international law firm
• High academic achievement from a nationally recognized law school
