1. Introduction and Acceptance
Welcome to Sartori & Partners (“Sartori & Partners”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our website www.sartoriglobal.com (the “Site”) and our legal recruitment and executive search services (together, the “Services”).
By submitting any form, registering for a report, or otherwise using the Services, you affirmatively agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, which explain how we handle personal information and cookies and are incorporated into these Terms by reference. Where you submit information through our forms, you do so via an explicit consent step that records your agreement and the time it was given. Your continued use of the Site also signifies that you accept these Terms, the Privacy Policy, and the Cookie Policy. If you do not agree with any part of them, please do not use the Site or the Services.
Sartori & Partners is established in the United States and operates the Site and provides the Services. You confirm that you are at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, if higher) and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. The Services are intended for legal professionals, hiring organizations, and their representatives, and are not directed to children.
2. Our Services
Sartori & Partners provides legal executive search and recruitment services. We partner with law firms and organizations to introduce them to legal professionals, and we work with candidates exploring confidential career opportunities. Our areas of focus include:
- Associate Recruiting
- Partner Recruiting
- In-House Counsel
- Board Services
- Interim Legal Talent
- Law Firm Management
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Site or the Services at any time. Nothing on the Site is an offer of employment, a guarantee of a placement, or professional, legal, or career advice, and your use of the Site does not create any agency, employment, or fiduciary relationship between you and Sartori & Partners except as expressly agreed in writing. Sartori & Partners acts as an intermediary introducing candidates and hiring organizations and does not act as the employer or agent of either party.
3. Your Obligations
Whether you are a candidate or a client, you agree to provide information that is accurate, current, and complete, and to keep it up to date. You are responsible for the information you submit to us through our forms, including any CV submission, enquiry, or report registration.
If you provide us with the personal information of another individual (for example, a colleague’s contact details), you confirm that you are authorized to do so. We share candidate profiles, CVs, or other candidate information with prospective employers only with the candidate’s prior explicit consent. Details of how we handle personal information are set out in our Privacy Policy.
4. SMS / Text Messaging Communications (A2P 10DLC)
As part of our recruitment Services, Sartori & Partners may send SMS / text messages to candidates and clients for transactional and conversational purposes only — for example, interview confirmations, scheduling, and relevant professional opportunities. SMS is never used for unrelated advertising. SMS messages are delivered through a third-party communications provider on our behalf.
a. Opt-In. SMS messaging is optional. You will only receive text messages from us where you have separately and affirmatively opted in. Opting in is never a condition of using the Services, submitting a candidacy, or receiving any consideration from us. Simply providing a phone number does not, by itself, opt you in to SMS.
b. Message Frequency. Message frequency varies depending on your active recruitment processes, applications, or enquiries.
c. Cost. Standard message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier plan.
d. Opt-Out (STOP). You can cancel SMS messages at any time by replying “STOP” to any message you receive from us. We will send one final message to confirm that you have been unsubscribed, after which you will no longer receive SMS messages from us. If you later wish to receive SMS messages again, you may provide a new affirmative opt-in at any time.
e. Assistance (HELP). Reply with the keyword “HELP” for assistance, or contact us at privacy@sartoriglobal.com.
f. Carrier Liability. Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
g. Confidentiality of Opt-In Data. Your mobile information and SMS opt-in and consent data are kept confidential and are not sold, rented, or shared with any third parties, affiliates, or partners — other than the service providers that transmit messages on our behalf, who act under contract and may not use the data for their own purposes — for their own marketing or promotional purposes. This data is used solely for direct communication regarding our recruitment and executive search Services. Messages are sent by Sartori & Partners.
5. Intellectual Property and User Content
All content on the Site — including text, graphics, logos, layout, methodologies, and other materials — is the property of Sartori & Partners or its licensors and is protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any part of the Site without our prior written permission.
You retain ownership of the content you submit to us (such as your CV, cover note, professional profile, or company information). By submitting content, you grant Sartori & Partners a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, store, process, and disclose that content for the recruitment and executive search purposes described in these Terms and our Privacy Policy, including, where you have given the required consent, sharing candidate information with prospective employers.
You represent and warrant that you own or are authorized to provide the content you submit, that it is accurate, and that it does not infringe or violate the intellectual property, privacy, or other rights of any third party. This warranty supports the indemnity in Section 10.
6. Acceptable Use and Prohibited Conduct
You agree to use the Site and the Services lawfully and only for their intended purposes. You must not:
- use the Site or Services for any unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful purpose;
- scrape, harvest, data-mine, or carry out automated or bulk extraction of content or data from the Site;
- probe, circumvent, disable, or otherwise interfere with the security, bot-protection, anti-abuse, or other technical measures protecting the Site;
- introduce malware or any other malicious or disruptive code;
- upload or transmit content that is infringing, defamatory, false, misleading, or otherwise unlawful;
- submit another person’s personal information without proper authority;
- send spam, or impersonate or misrepresent your identity or affiliation; or
- use the Site or Services in any way that could damage, disable, or impair them or interfere with another user’s use.
We may suspend or terminate your access, and take appropriate technical or legal measures, if we reasonably believe you have breached this section or any other part of these Terms.
7. Third-Party Links and Services
The Site may contain links to, or reference, third-party websites and services that we do not own or control (for example, LinkedIn). We provide these links for convenience only and are not responsible for the content, availability, security, or privacy practices of any third-party site or service. Accessing them is at your own risk and is subject to those third parties’ own terms and policies.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Site and the Services are provided on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis. Sartori & Partners disclaims all warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and title.
We do not warrant that the Site or the Services will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free, or that any defects will be corrected. While we apply appropriate safeguards as described in our Privacy Policy, no method of transmission over the internet or of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We do not warrant that any content on the Site — including AI-assisted summaries of hiring organizations’ job-opening text — is accurate, current, or complete. Separately, we make no warranty as to candidate or client information exchanged through the Services, or as to the conduct, qualifications, suitability, or performance of any candidate, client, or other third party introduced through the Services. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain implied warranties, so some of the above exclusions may not apply to you.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event will Sartori & Partners or its affiliates, officers, employees, agents, or service providers be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits or revenue, loss of data, business interruption, or loss of goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of (or inability to use) the Site or the Services, whether based in contract, tort, or any other legal theory, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the total aggregate liability of Sartori & Partners and the parties listed above for all claims arising out of or relating to the Site or the Services will not exceed the greater of (a) the total fees you actually paid to us, if any, in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) five hundred U.S. dollars (US$500).
We do not guarantee any employment placement, the hiring of any specific candidate, or any particular recruitment outcome. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you. Nothing in this Section limits liability for gross negligence, willful misconduct, fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under applicable law, and these limitations do not apply to the extent prohibited by applicable consumer-protection or data-protection law.
10. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Sartori & Partners and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents from and against any claims, losses, liabilities, damages, and reasonable legal fees arising out of or relating to: (i) your breach of these Terms; (ii) your violation of any law or any third-party right; (iii) any content or information you submit, including any CV, cover note, professional profile, or company information; and (iv) your unlawful conduct in connection with the Site or the Services. We will provide you with reasonable notice of any such claim and may, at our option, participate in its defence. This indemnity does not apply to the extent any claim arises from Sartori & Partners’ own negligence, willful misconduct, or breach of these Terms, or to the extent indemnification by an individual consumer is limited or prohibited by applicable law.
11. Governing Law and Exclusive Venue
These Terms and your use of the Site and the Services are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. You and Sartori & Partners agree that any legal action or proceeding arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Wyoming, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
Mandatory local rights. Nothing in this governing-law and venue provision deprives you of, or reduces, the mandatory, non-waivable rights, protections, and remedies available to you under the laws of your place of residence. In particular, if you are a resident of the European Union or European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, or California, you retain all mandatory local rights and remedies — including, where applicable, your rights under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the UK GDPR, the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection, and the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA), and your right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority or regulator and to pursue a judicial remedy — and these continue to apply notwithstanding the choice of Wyoming law. If you are located outside these regions, you likewise retain any mandatory rights granted to you under your local law that cannot lawfully be waived.
12. Dispute Resolution
Before commencing any formal proceeding, you agree to first contact us at privacy@sartoriglobal.com and attempt in good faith to resolve the dispute informally. If the dispute is not resolved within a reasonable period, it may be brought in the courts identified in Section 11. To the extent permitted by applicable law, and except where a longer period is required by mandatory law, any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services must be commenced within one (1) year after the claim arises. This section is subject in all respects to the mandatory-local-rights savings in Section 11 and does not limit any non-waivable rights or remedies you may have, including the right of EU/EEA, UK, Swiss, or California residents to pursue available statutory and regulatory remedies.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and post the revised Terms on this page. Material changes take effect when posted, unless we state a later effective date. Your continued use of the Site or the Services after the revised Terms take effect constitutes your acceptance of them. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.
14. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable in any jurisdiction, that provision will be severed or limited to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
15. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy (each incorporated by reference), constitute the entire agreement between you and Sartori & Partners regarding the Site and the Services, and supersede any prior communications, proposals, or agreements relating to their subject matter. Nothing in this section limits any liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
16. Assignment, Waiver, Force Majeure and Notices
Assignment. We may assign or transfer these Terms, in whole or in part, including in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets. You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent.
No Waiver. Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms is not a waiver of that provision or of any other right.
Force Majeure. We are not liable for any failure or delay in performance caused by events beyond our reasonable control.
Notices. Legal and data-rights notices to Sartori & Partners should be sent to privacy@sartoriglobal.com.
17. Survival
The provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination or cessation of your use of the Site or the Services will continue to apply, including the Intellectual Property and User Content provisions (Section 5), the SMS provisions (Section 4), the Disclaimer of Warranties (Section 8), the Limitation of Liability (Section 9), the Indemnification (Section 10), Governing Law (Section 11), and Dispute Resolution (Section 12).
