Join a Tokyo-based capital markets team advising issuers, underwriters and investors on a wide range of securities and debt products, including debt issuance programmes, convertibles, regulatory capital and hybrid securities, ESG-linked financings, liability management, equity offerings, securitisations and asset-backed notes.

You will work on cross-border and domestic transactions as part of a small, specialist team within a broader APAC capital markets group. Typical responsibilities include drafting and reviewing offering documents and disclosure sections, conducting due diligence, advising on regulatory and risk issues, and contributing to knowledge and client service initiatives.

The role offers regular collaboration with multidisciplinary teams across the region and access to central delivery support. Japanese language ability is desirable but not essential.

Commonwealth qualification (England & Wales or equivalent) with experience in debt capital markets; broader capital markets experience (equity, securitisation, structured debt) advantageous
Strong drafting, commercial judgment and legal research skills; ability to work to tight deadlines
Experience working on cross-border transactions and as part of interdisciplinary teams
Comfortable using delivery/knowledge resources and working with regional support teams; Japanese language skills advantageous
