Our client, a leading global law firm, is expanding its Casualty practice and seeking an Associate to join the team in either Sydney or Melbourne. This role offers exposure to high-quality matters and clients within a dynamic, nationally led team.

The insurance practice in Australia is growing rapidly, with over 20 insurance partners nationwide. The team is consistently engaged by major international and local insurers and corporates to handle their most complex insurance claims and issues. We are looking for an experienced Associate with a background in private practice, specifically within litigation, public/product liability, and/or general insurance/coverage claims. Experience in civil claims related to abuse (including historic or institutional abuse) is desirable.

Solid general insurance background from a top-tier private practice environment (Australia or overseas)
Precise, clear drafting skills
Strong academics, self-driven, and a 'can do' approach with excellent verbal and written communication skills
Effective time management and ability to prioritise competing demands to deliver high standards
Teamwork, collaboration, and ability to work independently
Commercial awareness and confidence in building client rapport, with partner support, to develop client relationships
