A full-service, nationally recognized firm is seeking an experienced associate to join its Healthcare & Medical Malpractice practice in Phoenix. This is an opportunity to defend healthcare providers in state and federal courts and in administrative proceedings, as part of one of the country's largest healthcare practices.

The team represents a broad range of providers — including hospitals, physicians, nurses and other clinical professionals, therapists, clinics, and long-term care facilities — across malpractice matters in areas such as obstetrics, emergency medicine, surgery, cardiology, orthopedics, neurology, oncology, radiology, and more.

The role involves hands-on litigation work: drafting and responding to discovery and initial pleadings, drafting and arguing motions, and taking and defending depositions. Candidates should be self-starters who can manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

While healthcare experience is preferred, attorneys with substantive litigation backgrounds and a genuine interest in healthcare law are encouraged to apply.

Admitted to practice in Arizona
At least 2 to 7 years of experience representing healthcare providers in state and federal courts and administrative proceedings
Experience defending and litigating medical malpractice actions preferred
Strong writing and analytical skills
Comfortable drafting and responding to discovery and pleadings, arguing motions, and taking and defending depositions
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
