Associate, Insurance — Sydney

Senior insurance litigation role to join the Sydney team of a global insurance-focused firm. You will advise and defend local and international insurers on complex coverage and professional liability matters, including directors & officers and cyber-related disputes.

The role involves running insurance litigation in the Supreme and Federal Courts, responding to regulatory investigations and inquiries, and handling subrogation and high-value financial-lines disputes. You will work closely with senior colleagues and receive structured coaching and development.

• Approximately 4 years' post-qualification experience in defendant insurance / coverage work
• Experience managing insurance litigation, including matters in superior courts
• Exposure to professional liability, D&O, financial lines and cyber coverage issues
• Ability to work with appropriate autonomy while collaborating with senior lawyers; strong written and oral advocacy
• Excellent time management, organisation and attention to detail
