Associate (4th–5th Year) – Commercial Litigation, New York

A leading law firm is seeking a 4th or 5th year associate to join its New York commercial litigation practice group.

The candidate must be based in New York and have meaningful experience litigating matters in New York State courts, including conducting discovery, drafting pleadings and motions, and appearing in court. A working knowledge of the New York Civil Practice Law and Rules (CPLR) is essential.

The successful candidate will possess strong academic credentials and excellent communication, interpersonal, oral advocacy, research, writing, and analytical skills. They should demonstrate the ability to work effectively under pressure, meet deadlines, and exercise strong professional judgment in a busy commercial practice.

Strong organizational and matter management skills are equally important, along with a commitment to developing and growing their practice, network, and expertise in a fast-paced group that provides the highest level of client service.

• 4th–5th year associate experience in commercial litigation
• Must be located in New York
• Meaningful experience litigating matters in New York State courts
• Experience conducting discovery, drafting pleadings and motions, and conducting court appearances
• Working knowledge of the New York Civil Practice Law and Rules (CPLR)
• Strong academic credentials
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, oral advocacy, research, writing, and analytical skills
• Bachelor's degree and Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited U.S. law school
• Member of the New York State Bar in good standing
