Mergers & Acquisitions Associate: Shareholder Activism (New York)

An established M&A team is seeking an associate with 4–7 years of experience to join its shareholder activism defense practice in New York. The role focuses on advising public companies facing activist campaigns and takeover situations, with significant exposure to high-stakes, time-sensitive matters.

The successful candidate will work closely with senior partners, take on meaningful responsibility for client relationships, and play a key role in the continued growth of the activism defense team. The practice sits within a broader corporate group that handles public company M&A, corporate governance, and securities matters.

• 4–7 years of experience in M&A and corporate governance, with a focus on shareholder activism defense.
• Strong background in public company M&A, including securities law, Delaware law, and corporate governance.
• Hands-on experience advising public companies on shareholder activism and takeover defense.
• High level of academic achievement from a nationally recognized law school.
