An internationally recognized Intellectual Property practice is seeking an associate to join its patent litigation team in Amsterdam. The team sits at the intersection of law, technology, and economics, handling cross-border disputes across all technological fields, including life sciences, chemistry, and high-tech.

You will represent clients in proceedings before national courts, the European Patent Office, and the Unified Patent Court (UPC), working within a young, dynamic team on matters that are typically multinational and handled in international teams. Hearings take place both in the Netherlands and abroad.

Working independently on complex patent matters, you will act as a substantive sparring partner for clients and colleagues while contributing actively to the further development of the practice domestically and internationally.

Three to eight years of relevant experience in patent law
A clear affinity for technology and innovation
Ability to analyze complex legal issues and translate them into pragmatic solutions
Well-developed commercial awareness underlying legal questions
Self-starting, entrepreneurial, structured, and precise working style
Clear and persuasive communication in Dutch and English
Works well in an international, collaborative practice
