Associate / Senior Associate, Medical Law

Law firm seeking an experienced Associate or Senior Associate to join a national Medical Law team. The role is open to candidates based in Cambridge, Birmingham or Sheffield and offers a hybrid working pattern.

The post covers a broad Court of Protection caseload with an emphasis on urgent medical treatment decisions, together with mental health and capacity work, deprivation of liberty matters, inquests and judicial review. The team advises public and private healthcare bodies and provides specialist support on high‑stakes, time‑critical matters.

• 3+ years' UK-based experience in medical/healthcare law (PQE guideline)
• Experience with Court of Protection practice, including urgent healthcare declaration cases
• Strong knowledge of Mental Capacity Act, Mental Health law and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards
• Experience handling inquests and Judicial Review or similar public law proceedings
