Well-regarded national insurance team is seeking a mid-level associate to join its professional and commercial risk practice in Newcastle. The role will focus on Directors' & Officers' (D&O) and other financial lines coverage work, handling complex coverage questions and defended claims on behalf of insurers.

The post offers regular client engagement with leading insurer clients, collaborative work with specialists across disputes, employment and regulatory areas, and opportunities to contribute to the team’s national growth. Hybrid working and support for technical development are available.

Minimum 3 years' PQE in insurance coverage or financial lines; experience with D&O/management liability preferred
Proven experience advising on coverage under financial lines and professional indemnity policies
Excellent client-handling and drafting skills; able to produce clear legal advice on complex coverage issues
Self-sufficient operator with a commercial, client-focused approach
Experience on secondment to a financial lines insurer would be beneficial
Team-player with a willingness to share knowledge and support wider team objectives
