Associate - Transactional Tax

An opportunity has opened for an Associate to join a market-leading transactional tax practice, working on complex, often cross-border transactions from day one. The team advises on the tax aspects of acquisitions, disposals, private equity and venture capital investments, corporate restructurings, and finance arrangements.

The role involves structuring and implementing acquisition, investment, and financing structures from a tax perspective, closely collaborating with colleagues across Corporate/M&A, Private Equity, Restructuring, Finance, Capital Markets, and other practice groups. You will also help manage ongoing client relationships and support business development initiatives.

The practice is globally integrated, with a large international team of tax lawyers who work across offices and disciplines to provide practical, commercial solutions. The position is open across multiple German offices and offers first-class training and development programmes designed to accelerate technical and business skills.

• Minimum of 4 years' experience in transactional tax, gained at a leading law firm or equivalent environment
• Strong technical grounding in the tax aspects of M&A, private equity, venture capital investments, and corporate restructurings
• Experience structuring and implementing acquisition, investment, and financing structures from a tax perspective
• Fluent German and English language skills, with excellent drafting and communication abilities
• A collaborative approach and the ability to work closely with colleagues across practice groups and offices
