The role sits under the direction of Conflicts Counsel and covers all aspects of the conflicts process—from preparing conflicts search reports to identifying and resolving potential ethical and business conflicts for new business and lateral matters.

The Conflicts Attorney helps ensure the firm meets its ethical obligations by reviewing and analyzing conflicts search results, articulating findings, and determining appropriate steps for resolution. You will work collaboratively with Conflicts Counsel, the firm's General Counsel, firm attorneys, and the wider conflicts team.

This position is open across multiple offices nationally and offers a high-volume, fast-paced environment with opportunities to streamline processes, develop and train team members, and support large-scale reconciliation of client/matter information and the conflicts database.

  • 2+ years of experience in a conflicts department at a mid- to large-sized law firm
  • Knowledge of professional responsibility and legal ethics rules pertaining to conflicts
  • Intapp experience strongly preferred
  • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and independent decision-making skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects accurately in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and adapt to changing workflows and procedures
  • Willingness to travel within the U.S. and work remotely outside normal business hours as needed
