Join a global legal consulting panel run by a leading international law firm. The role is for experienced banking & finance lawyers who want a self-directed consulting career, working on short- to medium-term assignments for law firm and in-house clients across Australia.

Typical assignments include corporate finance, derivatives/OTC regulation, structured and leveraged finance, funds and investment management, project and infrastructure finance, and financial markets compliance. Assignments are flexible in length and engagement model and can be taken as a casual employee or via an independent legal practice.

The panel offers dedicated consultant support, access to firm resources and training, and opportunities to work on demanding, multinational projects while maintaining greater control over your schedule.

  • Unrestricted right to practise and reside in Australia
  • Qualified to practise in Australia
  • Minimum 4 years' post-qualification experience (PQE), ideally with top-tier law firm and/or major financial institution or secondment experience
  • Strong technical banking & finance experience (e.g. corporate finance, derivatives/OTC, structured/leveraged finance, funds/investment management, project & infrastructure finance, financial markets compliance)
  • Proven ability to operate autonomously on complex, multi-jurisdictional matters and to interface at senior levels
  • Client-service focused, commercially minded, resilient and organised
