An opportunity has arisen for an experienced banking and finance lawyer to join a global legal consulting platform as a self-directed consultant, taking on assignments of typically six months or more. Engagements may be based within the platform's own practice groups or embedded directly with client organisations, offering variety across sectors and institutions.

The platform is building a panel of leading banking and finance lawyers with strong technical grounding in areas such as general lending, Asian syndicated loan markets, leveraged finance, real estate finance, equity-backed and hybrid financing, and subscription line facilities. Familiarity with APLMA loan documentation is beneficial.

Right to work and reside in Hong Kong
Qualified to practise in at least one of England & Wales, the US, Hong Kong, Singapore or Australia
Minimum of four years' post-qualification experience at a top-tier law firm in banking and finance
Strong technical knowledge, ideally with some Asian market experience
In-house legal experience at leading financial institutions or corporates preferred (directly or by secondment)
Willingness to establish a personal services company
Self-starter with commercial acumen, resilience and excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Comfortable leading or working within complex multi-national project environments
