Join a global legal consulting panel as a self-directed consultant specialising in commercial technology, procurement and data privacy work across Australia. This role provides flexible, client-facing assignments including in-house placements and firm-supported engagements on technology contracts, privacy and cybersecurity matters, and related commercial transactions.

Typical assignments vary in length and intensity and are offered on a casual/contract basis. You will have access to dedicated consultant support, training resources and a professional community, while retaining the flexibility to choose engagements that fit your career and personal priorities.

  • Qualified to practise in Australia with unrestricted practising rights
  • Right to work and reside in Australia
  • Minimum 4 years' post‑qualification experience, preferably with top‑tier firm, financial institution or in‑house secondment experience
  • Strong technical experience in commercial technology contracts (SaaS, licensing, development, cloud/outsourcing) and technology transactions
  • Demonstrable expertise in data protection/privacy and data security, and experience with cybersecurity law
  • Experience advising on M&A‑adjacent tech issues, fintech/ecommerce or IP matters advantageous
  • Proven client service skills, excellent communication, commercial acumen and ability to operate autonomously in multi‑jurisdictional teams
  • Willingness to engage as a casual employee or via an independent legal practice
