Corporate M&A Associate — Charleston

Mid-level associate role in a busy Corporate M&A team based in Charleston. The team handles a full range of transactional matters and offers exposure to buy- and sell-side deals, entity-level agreements and related commercial work.

The firm seeks a self-starter to take on substantial responsibility in deal execution, including drafting and negotiating transaction documents, managing due diligence and advising on corporate and entity governance matters. The role includes mentoring and opportunities for increased client contact.

• 3–5 years’ post-qualification M&A transactional experience
• Experience drafting, reviewing and negotiating merger agreements, stock/asset purchase agreements and related documents
• Experience with partnership, joint venture or LLC operating agreements
• Demonstrated responsibility for closing transactions and conducting due diligence
• Strong academic credentials, excellent communication skills and ability to work independently and in teams
• Private equity transaction experience preferred
