A well-established Toronto employment & labour team is hiring an associate to support a broad practice advising employers. The group handles individual and systemic employment issues, workplace investigations, dismissals and accommodations, human rights matters, pay equity, occupational health and safety, privacy, and labour relations including collective bargaining and grievance/arbitration work.

The role involves both advisory and advocacy work before tribunals and courts, and includes participation in workplace restructurings and transactional employment aspects. Candidates with 1–4 years of relevant experience in private practice or in-house who have strong academics and litigation/advisory skills are encouraged to apply.

  • LLB/JD and admission (or eligibility) to the Ontario bar
  • 1–4 years PQE in employment & labour law (private practice or in-house)
  • Experience with collective bargaining, workplace investigations, human rights and employment litigation
  • Strong academic record, excellent written and oral advocacy skills, and collaborative team approach
