Top-tier energy & infrastructure team is seeking an associate to join its Richmond office to support regulatory matters across the electric and gas sectors. The role offers exposure to regulatory proceedings, transactional support, and client-focused counseling within a national energy practice.

Ideal candidates will have approximately two to three years of relevant experience (major firm experience preferred). Prior energy regulatory experience is a plus but not required; strong legal research, drafting, and oral advocacy skills are essential.

Virginia bar membership is preferred and must be obtained within one year of start. The role suits a motivated, collaborative lawyer who wants to build an energy regulatory practice.

Approximately 2–3 years of transactional or regulatory experience, ideally from a major law firm
Prior energy regulatory experience preferred; demonstrated interest in the energy sector acceptable
Excellent oral and written communication, research, and drafting skills
Virginia bar admission preferred; required within one year of commencing employment
Ability to work collaboratively on a team and exercise sound judgment and initiative
