Apply in confidence →A leading national corporate practice is seeking an Executive Compensation Associate to join its executive compensation & benefits team in the San Francisco Bay Area. The role focuses on advising on executive compensation, equity incentive arrangements and employee benefits matters in the context of mergers, acquisitions and other corporate transactions.
The team works on high‑value, complex transactions and provides practical, deal‑oriented counsel to corporate clients and private equity sponsors. The group offers collaboration with senior lawyers across corporate and tax practices and exposure to a broad range of compensation structures and plan documentation.
The firm provides a competitive salary and benefits package commensurate with experience; the hiring range for this role was advertised internally.
- J.D. and active bar admission in the relevant U.S. jurisdiction
- 2–6 years of post‑qualification experience focused on executive compensation and employee benefits
- Experience advising on executive compensation and benefits issues in M&A and other commercial transactions
- Familiarity with equity incentives, tax‑qualified plans, ERISA issues and related documentation
- Strong drafting, analytical and client‑facing skills
