Apply in confidence →Highly regarded tax practice is seeking an associate with 3–6 years of post-JD experience to join its Executive Compensation & Benefits group. The role is open in multiple U.S. offices (Washington, D.C.; Boston; New York).
The successful candidate will advise corporate and tax-exempt clients on executive compensation, ERISA and employee benefits matters, including plan design and qualification, deferred compensation, equity arrangements, and compliance with tax and benefit rules. Work will include drafting client memoranda and plan documents, supporting compensation-related transactions, and counseling clients on regulatory and tax risk.
- 3–6 years post-JD experience in executive compensation, ERISA and employee benefits (tax focus)
- Juris Doctor and active bar admission in the U.S. (or eligible to transfer)
- Demonstrated experience with qualified and nonqualified retirement plans, deferred compensation, and equity awards
- Strong drafting, analytical and client-counseling skills; ability to manage multiple matters and collaborate with transactional teams
