A leading international law firm is seeking an Expertise (professional support) lawyer to join its Global Loans team. The role sits within the firm's broader lending and markets department, driving quality, efficiency, and profitability through expertise resources, knowledge capture, and legal learning programs.

The expertise function supports the firm's ability to win work through thought leadership and enables a coordinated, 'one firm' response to legal and market change. The home office would be either London or Glasgow.

Key responsibilities include developing and delivering training for the department, creating and curating core guidance documents, monitoring legal and market developments, building subject matter expertise in one or more workstreams, and providing technical and practical advice to lawyers at all levels. The successful candidate will join a team of experienced expertise lawyers and an expertise executive.

England & Wales qualified solicitor or barrister with technical abilities consistent with an outstanding associate in a City or equivalent firm
Working knowledge of AI tools and legal technology, with an active interest in adopting legal tech solutions in a practice setting
Leadership and collaboration skills
Excellent drafting skills
Adaptability and a "can do" attitude
