Top-tier national leveraged finance team is seeking a 4th–5th year associate to join its Leveraged Finance and Private Equity Finance practice. The role is open to candidates in New York, Washington, D.C., or Chicago, with exceptional candidates considered for other U.S. offices.

The team represents private equity sponsors, portfolio companies, corporate borrowers, and debt providers across acquisition financings, dividend recapitalizations, refinancings, and exits. The role involves significant drafting and negotiation of financing documents, managing transaction workstreams, and collaborating with Corporate/M&A and other practices on acquisition financings.

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
4–5 years of leveraged finance or acquisition finance experience
Experience drafting, negotiating, and structuring loan documentation (credit agreements, intercreditor agreements, guaranties/security documents, ancillary debt docs)
Demonstrated ability to manage transaction workstreams and serve as day-to-day client/deal-team contact
Strong drafting, negotiation, analytical, and written communication skills
Admission and good standing in the bar of the jurisdiction to which you apply
