A leading international law firm is seeking a junior associate to join the non-contentious side of its Financial Services Regulatory practice, which sits within the wider Corporate Division. The role is based in London and involves both advisory and transactional/commercial projects regulatory work, spanning UK domestic and international matters.

The practice advises banks (traditional and challenger), payment services and e-money firms, interdealer brokers, asset managers, private equity firms, insurers, insurance intermediaries, market infrastructure providers, Fintechs and energy sector clients. Work covers all major UK/EU regulatory regimes, including CRR/CRD, MiFID II, SMCR, MAR, EMIR, SSR, CSRD, PSD2 and AIFMD.

Matters include structuring and authorisation of new businesses, group rationalisation and structuring, corporate governance and senior management responsibility, regulatory change and commercial projects (including outsourcing), new business and product structuring, client documentation, BAU regulatory and compliance matters, and evolving areas such as digital assets, tokenisation and AI. Non-contentious associates also have the opportunity to gain exposure to contentious work to broaden their experience.

Approximately 1–2 years' experience in financial services regulatory work (candidates with slightly less or more experience considered where competencies are met).
Experience of large, complex and multi-jurisdictional matters.
Broad exposure across several financial services mini-sectors preferred.
Strong academic record (at least a 2:1 degree or equivalent), with full academic details and transcripts where appropriate.
Fluency in spoken and written English.
Strong personal leadership, relationship-building, collaboration, client-service and results-delivery competencies.
