First Year Associate Corporate M&A – Frankfurt

We are seeking a First Year Associate (m/w/d) to join the Corporate / M&A team of a leading international law firm at its Frankfurt office. The firm operates across numerous offices worldwide and is recognized for its commitment to highest quality and personal, active client service.

The Corporate / M&A team advises leading national and international private equity investors, strategic companies and financial investors on complex domestic and cross-border transactions. The practice focuses on private equity transactions (buyouts, add-ons and exits), mergers and acquisitions, growth and minority investments, carve-outs and complex group transactions, as well as joint ventures and strategic cooperations. The team regularly works on market-leading, highly complex transactions in close collaboration with international offices, particularly in London and the US.

As an associate, you will be part of the deal team from day one and directly involved in national and international transactions. You will work alongside experienced partners and counsel, accompanying transactions through all phases – from structuring and negotiation to signing and closing.

• Fully qualified lawyer (Volljurist) with above-average results in both state examinations
• Interest in economic contexts and entrepreneurial issues
• Ideally first experience in corporate law or a transactional practice (e.g. during legal clerkship or as a research assistant)
• International experience (e.g. LL.M., semester abroad or work abroad) is advantageous
• Team player with a sense of responsibility, initiative and entrepreneurial thinking
• Excellent written and spoken English
