An established national law firm is seeking a mid-level associate to join its corporate practice in San Francisco, focused on private investment fund formation. The role involves working with fund sponsors and investors across the full lifecycle of fund transactions.

The position offers substantial responsibility in a busy transactional practice, with exposure to sponsor-side and secondary transactions in addition to core fund formation work. Candidates should be comfortable taking ownership of matters and collaborating within a collegial corporate team.

Two to seven years of private investment fund formation experience
Experience representing sponsors and investors in private investment funds
Track record completing fund formation transactions
Experience with sponsor-level transactions involving general partner and management company entities
Experience with secondary transactions involving limited partner and/or portfolio company interests
Prior experience in the corporate department of a national or international law firm preferred
Strong academic record from a nationally recognized law school
