Practice with a busy fund formation group in Washington, DC, handling private investment fund matters for sponsors and investors. The role focuses on end-to-end fund formations and related sponsor-level structuring.

Work will include negotiating and documenting fund formation transactions, sponsor and management company matters, and secondary transactions involving limited partner or portfolio company interests. The team seeks candidates comfortable taking substantive responsibility on transactions and working with cross-functional deal teams.

2–7 years' post-qualification experience in private investment fund formation
Proven experience representing sponsors and/or investors on fund formation transactions
Experience with sponsor-level transactions (GP/management company matters) and secondary transactions involving LP or portfolio company interests
Background in the corporate department of a national or international law firm and strong academic record
