Seeking a 2–3 year IP associate to join a busy New Jersey IP group focused on software and artificial‑intelligence matters. The role offers hands‑on patent prosecution work across a mix of clients from startups to large technology users, with exposure to healthcare, fintech and other innovation sectors.

Day‑to‑day responsibilities include drafting and prosecuting U.S. and international patent applications for software/AI inventions, responding to office actions, conducting examiner interviews, and advising on portfolio strategy. The position involves collaboration with inventors, engineers and in‑house counsel and offers meaningful client contact and opportunities for professional growth.

2–3 years of patent prosecution experience in a law firm or corporate setting
Technical background in computer science, software engineering, AI/ML, or related field (advanced degree preferred)
Experience drafting and prosecuting software‑related patent applications and performing patentability and FTO analyses
USPTO registration required; admission to the New Jersey bar required (New York preferred)
Strong legal writing, analytical skills, and ability to manage multiple matters in a fast‑paced environment
