An intellectual property litigation practice is seeking an enthusiastic and highly qualified mid-level associate to join its team. This is a hands-on role within a highly successful litigation group, offering the chance to take on increasing responsibility and work on sophisticated pharmaceutical and life sciences disputes.

The ideal candidate is an independent and creative thinker with strong research, writing, and analytic skills, and the ability to manage and mentor more junior associates while working effectively as part of a collaborative team.

Washington, DC is the preferred office location for this position, though candidates for other U.S. offices may be considered.

At least three years of prior work experience in a biotechnology practice
Degree in a life sciences technology area (e.g., biochemistry, biology, chemistry, biomedical science, chemical engineering, molecular biology, or pharmacy)
Strong research, writing, and analytic skills
Ability to manage and mentor more junior associates
Strong management and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and creatively as part of a team
Prior experience handling, and preferably managing, Hatch-Waxman, biosimilar, or competitor pharmaceutical cases in district court or before the PTAB
Strong academic credentials from an accredited law school
Admission to the state bar of the preferred office location
