Our client, a leading law firm, seeks a 2nd–6th year associate to join its Intellectual Property Litigation practice in Washington, DC, with a focus on life sciences and ANDA matters. The ideal candidate will have significant patent litigation experience in U.S. District Courts and before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB), including post-grant proceedings.

The role involves active participation in all phases of litigation, from case analysis and factual/legal research through discovery, motion practice, claim construction, and trial. Candidates should be comfortable taking depositions, appearing in court, and communicating directly with clients and opposing counsel. A collaborative, creative approach and willingness to contribute to case strategy are essential.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated associate to work on high-stakes life sciences patent litigation within a dynamic team.

2–6 years of significant patent litigation experience in U.S. District Courts and before the PTAB, including post-grant proceedings.
Experience with ANDA and/or other life sciences patent litigation.
Undergraduate or master’s degree in biology, chemistry, biochemistry, or another life sciences discipline preferred.
Experience in the Intellectual Property department of a comparable law firm.
Strong academic credentials from an accredited law school.
Excellent writing, research, and analytical skills.
Deposition and courtroom experience preferred.
Ability to work collaboratively and think creatively.
