An Office of the General Counsel at a leading international law firm seeks an experienced attorney to support its contracting process. The role involves reviewing, drafting, and negotiating two categories of agreements: (1) vendor and third-party contracts, with a focus on technology, and (2) contracts related to client representation, including engagements of testifying and consulting experts.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in intellectual property or commercial contracts, with expertise in licensing, data privacy and cybersecurity, AI-specific issues, indemnifications and limitation of liability, and service levels. Experience reviewing complex licensing, subscription, and SaaS agreements is essential, along with comfort negotiating contracts outside the IP/tech space and advising on risk management provisions.

Responsibilities include managing the contract review process, developing playbooks, conducting legal research on emerging AI and technology law, and liaising with partners, business teams, and OGC colleagues. The role offers a hybrid work model with remote opportunities and a comprehensive benefits package.

  • At least 5 years of relevant legal experience, preferably at a law firm
  • Expertise in licensing, data privacy, cybersecurity, AI, indemnifications, liability, and service levels
  • Experience with complex licensing, subscription, and SaaS agreements
  • Excellent research, analytical, interpersonal, writing, and presentation skills
  • High academic achievement from an accredited law school
  • Admission to the New York Bar
