We are seeking a Labor & Employment associate to join a busy Portland office of a well-established national law firm. The role sits in a full-service employment practice handling litigation, counseling, and training for clients across multiple jurisdictions.

The successful candidate will take an active role in litigation matters, including drafting and responding to discovery and pleadings, preparing and arguing motions, and taking and defending depositions. The position involves frequent contact with clients, government agencies, and opposing counsel.

2–7 years of post-qualification litigation experience in employment law (management-side experience preferred)
Admission to practice in Oregon required
Comfort drafting/responding to discovery and pleadings, briefing and arguing motions, and taking/defending depositions
Strong writing, analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment
Self-starter who works well independently and as part of a team; experience in employment counseling or in-house employment law is a plus
