Top-tier national law firm is seeking a labor and employment attorney to join its Grand Rapids office and contribute to a well-regarded national practice. The role is open to candidates with a strong background in either traditional labor matters or employment litigation.

The position involves handling the full array of labor and/or employment litigation work and providing counseling on employment-related issues. The team emphasizes collaborative client work and professional development within a supportive firm culture.

  • Minimum 5 years' post-qualification experience in labor and/or employment law
  • Substantial experience in either traditional labor matters (arbitrations, contract administration, NLRB work, union avoidance/defense) or employment litigation (single-plaintiff and/or class actions, wage & hour)
  • Experience with employment counseling and advice preferred
  • Outstanding writing, research and analytical skills; strong academic credentials
  • Admission and good standing with the Michigan bar
