Lateral Partner, Finance & Banking / Corporate / Securities — Chicago

Leading national law firm seeks a partner to grow and lead a transactional practice focused on finance, corporate and securities matters from the Chicago office. The role emphasizes client relationship management, origination and delivery of complex private equity, venture capital and capital-markets work.

The successful candidate will split time between originating business, advising strategic and financial sponsors, and supervising deal execution. There is opportunity to build a team and collaborate with cross-practice groups on multi-jurisdictional matters.

• Portable book of business of $2M+ (USD)
• Proven track record of originating and leading private equity, venture capital or capital-markets transactions
• Experience managing teams and mentoring associates on complex, high-value deals
• Strong client-development and relationship-management skills in the Chicago market
• Bar admission and ability to practise in the relevant U.S. jurisdiction
