Leading national law firm seeks a lateral partner to join its Chicago office to lead and grow a cross-practice IP litigation capability focused on healthcare and life sciences matters. The role will combine courtroom and appellate litigation work with counseling on high-stakes intellectual property disputes arising in regulated healthcare and life sciences sectors.

The partner will work with experienced litigation teams and collaborate across IP and healthcare practices, supervising junior litigators and helping develop case strategy, expert engagement, and motion practice. This is a client-facing leadership role with responsibility for originating and expanding work in the region.

Proven track record in IP litigation, including trial and appellate experience in technology or life sciences disputes.
Experience advising healthcare and life sciences clients on IP-related litigation and regulatory overlap.
Strong team leadership and mentoring skills, with experience managing litigation teams and outside experts.
Demonstrable business development ability and a history of client origination.
Portable book of business of $2M+ (USD)
