An experienced construction lawyer is sought to join a real estate construction team on a full-time, permanent basis in Sydney. The role covers a varied mix of contentious and non-contentious construction work, with candidates experienced in both areas particularly well regarded.

The position sits within a collegial, high-performing team handling high-profile matters. You will draft and negotiate construction documentation, advise on and manage construction disputes including adjudications, and run litigation — primarily in the Supreme Court — as well as arbitrations across various Australian jurisdictions.

Beyond fee-earning work, the role includes contributing to business development and client relationship activities, supporting the team's learning and development programme in your area of expertise, developing knowledge resources and precedents, and assisting with matter management such as estimates, invoicing and fee collection.

At least four years' post-admission experience in construction law
Experience gained at a well-regarded firm or in a sophisticated in-house environment
Exposure to both contentious and non-contentious construction matters highly regarded
Commercially astute and detail-oriented

Admitted to practise in Australia
