Interim legal consultant role supporting Compliance, Regulatory and Ethics work across the UAE (Abu Dhabi/Dubai). Assignments are typically full‑time engagements of around six months, with some roles offering flexible working arrangements.

Opportunities include regulatory/compliance assignments with financial institutions and industrial clients: work may cover AML and sanctions frameworks, design and enhancement of controls and monitoring, complex internal investigations, regulatory engagement, policy development, remediation programmes and compliance programme build-outs.

Minimum 7 years post‑qualification experience (PQE) in compliance/regulatory work
Experience in AML, sanctions, internal investigations and regulatory engagement
Experience drafting and implementing compliance codes, risk assessments, third‑party/M&A due diligence and whistleblowing frameworks
Familiarity with UAE/GCC regulatory and corporate frameworks; Arabic language skills advantageous
Prior top‑tier law firm or in‑house compliance experience and a practising certificate or equivalent
