Apply in confidence →Senior in-house counsel role within a global firm's technology and data function, focusing on data privacy, security and AI governance. You will provide practical legal advice to business and support teams on the capture, use, storage and retention of data across jurisdictions.
Key responsibilities include developing and implementing data policies and controls, delivering guidance and training, advising on cross-border data issues and working with the AI governance programme to shape standards for data use in AI systems. The role sits within the General Counsel & Risk team and has a global remit.
- Qualified lawyer (common law jurisdiction); minimum 3 years PQE.
- Experience or strong interest in data privacy, data security and emerging technology (including AI).
- Proven ability to translate complex, multi-jurisdictional legal issues into clear, pragmatic guidance.
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills; comfortable working across time zones and with diverse teams.
