A leading law firm is seeking a mid-level associate with 3–5 years of experience to join its Life Sciences group in New York.

The role focuses on intellectual property licensing, technology transfer and other technology transactions, as well as IP support for corporate transactions in the life sciences arena.

Fluency in Mandarin is required, and prior experience working in Asia is strongly preferred.

Candidates will work both independently and as part of collaborative teams across practice areas and geographies.

3–5 years of relevant licensing and technology transactions experience
Fluency in Mandarin required; experience working in Asia strongly preferred
Experience in IP licensing, technology transfer and technology transactions
Experience with IP and technology transaction due diligence for corporate transactions
Drafting and negotiating IP licenses, joint development, collaboration and strategic alliance agreements
Experience with technology licenses, services agreements (including SaaS) and distribution agreements
Strong academic credentials, comparable law firm experience and excellent written and verbal communication skills
Relevant bar admission or eligibility to obtain admission promptly
