An Am Law 100 full-service firm is seeking an associate to join its Healthcare & Medical Malpractice Practice in the Dallas office.

The role involves defending healthcare providers—including hospitals, physicians, nurses, and other clinicians—in state and federal courts and administrative proceedings. The practice handles medical malpractice actions across a wide range of specialties such as obstetrics, emergency medicine, surgery, cardiology, orthopedics, neurology, oncology, and radiology, and is one of the largest healthcare practices in the country.

The successful candidate will be a self-starter comfortable drafting and responding to discovery and initial pleadings, drafting and arguing motions, and taking and defending depositions, with strong writing and analytical skills and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Admitted to practice in Texas
2–7 years of experience representing healthcare providers in state and federal courts and administrative proceedings
Experience defending and litigating medical malpractice lawsuits preferred
Strong writing and analytical skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
