Mid-Level Transactional Tax Associate — New York

A leading international law firm is seeking a highly motivated mid-level transactional tax associate to join its dynamic and growing tax practice in its New York City office. The ideal candidate will have transactional tax experience from a large law firm, a Big Four national tax practice, or the IRS National Office.

The associate will work on a range of sophisticated partnership, corporate, and international tax matters in connection with real estate (including REITs), investment funds, M&A, tax planning, and other transactional work. Candidates with experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating the tax aspects of real estate acquisitions, fund formation, joint ventures, M&A, and other transactional documents are encouraged to apply.

• Minimum of three years of relevant transactional tax experience preferred
• Experience from a large law firm, Big Four national tax practice, or IRS National Office
• Experience with partnership, corporate, and international tax matters
• Experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating tax aspects of real estate acquisitions, fund formation, joint ventures, and M&A
• Outstanding analytical, research, and writing skills
• Strong academic credentials
• Demonstrated commitment to excellence and client service
• Law degree from an ABA-accredited law school and membership in a U.S. Bar
