Lead partner role within an established emerging companies and venture capital practice in the firm's Washington, D.C. office. The role focuses on advising startups, growth-stage companies and their investors across formation, financings, strategic commercial arrangements and exit events.

Ideal candidate will build and grow a client-facing practice, originate work and collaborate with corporate, IP and fund teams on cross-practice matters. The position offers significant client development responsibility and visibility within a national platform.

  • Portable book of business of $2M+ (USD)
  • Established partner-level experience advising emerging growth companies and venture investors
  • Proven origination record and ability to build relationships with founders, investors and in-house counsel
  • Strong transactional skills (financings, equity compensation, commercial agreements) and excellent drafting/negotiation abilities
