Leading law firm seeks a partner to build and lead an IP litigation and prosecution practice in the Los Angeles office. The role combines patent prosecution, licensing work and contested patent litigation, with particular experience in Hatch-Waxman matters and ITC Section 337 investigations.

The successful candidate will be client-facing, responsible for originating and managing matters, supervising associates, and collaborating across firm IP and litigation teams. This is a practice-growth role with significant business-development expectations.

  • Established track record in patent prosecution and contested patent litigation, including Hatch-Waxman and Section 337 matters
  • Proven business development and client-management skills
  • Experience supervising associates and managing cross-functional teams
  • Portable book of business of $2M+ (USD)

If the brief does not read like an exact match, it is usually still worth talking — the specification tends to follow the practice.
