We are seeking a highly motivated individual with substantive industry experience and a degree in software, computer science, or a related field to join a busy patent counseling, prosecution, and litigation practice.

Responsibilities include conducting prior art database searches for patentability and freedom-to-operate analyses; analyzing patents and scientific documents to assist attorneys in prosecution, counseling, and litigation; drafting patent applications and responses to office actions; and advising lawyers on technology issues for depositions.

The role requires broad scientific knowledge in computer science or electrical engineering, with expertise in artificial intelligence and machine learning strongly preferred. Candidates must be eligible to sit for the USPTO registration exam and meet the requirements for registration as a patent agent. Law school tuition assistance is available for patent agent candidates.

Degree in software, computer science, or related field
Substantive industry experience
Broad scientific knowledge in computer science or electrical engineering
Expertise in AI and machine learning strongly preferred
Superb technical, written, and verbal communication skills in English
Eligible to sit for the USPTO registration exam and meet patent agent registration requirements
