A leading international full-service law firm is seeking a German or European Patent Attorney to join its highly regarded patent litigation group in Düsseldorf. The team is recognized as one of the leading patent practices in Germany and works on complex, cross-border disputes for innovative companies whose technical IP is business-critical.

You will handle contentious patent work with a focus on the life sciences and biotechnology sector, including opposition proceedings before the European Patent Office and the German Patent and Trade Mark Office, nullity and utility model cancellation actions, and support on infringement proceedings. You can also expect to work on proceedings before the Unified Patent Court, for which the team is well prepared.

Drafting pleadings, participating in oral hearings, and coordinating with international colleagues on parallel proceedings abroad will all form part of your role. English is the primary language for EPO matters and client communication, and you will be closely involved with the firm's global industry sector groups.

German or European Patent Attorney (m/w/d)
Scientific background in biology or biochemistry
Strong and broad scientific knowledge in your field, with willingness to engage with adjacent subject areas
Excellent written and spoken communication skills
Very good command of English
