Private Equity Associate (3rd–6th Year) — Los Angeles

An Am Law 20 firm is seeking a mid-level attorney to join its corporate private equity practice in Los Angeles. The role involves representing private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies across the full lifecycle of transactions.

The successful candidate will draft and negotiate purchase and merger agreements, LLC and LP agreements, and other ancillary transaction documents, while supporting the day-to-day needs of fund and portfolio company clients. You will work closely with client business teams in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and take on a lead role as an extension of those teams.

Candidates should bring sound business and strategic judgment, strong project management abilities, and a team-oriented approach to complex, dynamic deal work.

• 3–6 years of private equity and M&A experience
• Prior experience at a large firm working with private equity sponsors
• Strong drafting, writing, and analytical skills with close attention to detail
• Experience negotiating purchase and merger agreements, LLC and LP agreements, and ancillary transaction documents
• Excellent academic credentials
• Strong organizational, verbal, interpersonal, and project management skills
