Private Equity Associate — Corporate, New York

Top-tier law firm seeks a 3rd–6th year associate to join its private equity and M&A practice in New York. The role focuses on buyouts, portfolio-company work and sponsor-side transactions, with responsibility for drafting and negotiating transaction agreements and ancillary documents.

Ideal candidates will act as an extension of client teams in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and will handle day-to-day transactional matters for private equity funds and portfolio companies.

• 3–6 years post-qualification experience in private equity and M&A transactions
• Demonstrated experience drafting and negotiating purchase and merger agreements, and LLC and LP agreements
• Strong drafting, writing, analytical and project-management skills; excellent attention to detail
• Prior large-firm transactional experience and strong academic credentials
