Private Equity M&A – Junior Associate

A leading international law firm is seeking a highly qualified junior associate to join its Private Equity group in New York. The team works on private M&A and growth equity transactions in a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment that encourages lawyers to work across practice areas and geographies.

The role offers hands-on involvement in all stages of private equity transactions, including due diligence, ancillary workstreams, and managing signing and closing processes. The successful candidate will work closely with internal and external clients and counsel, developing the judgment and proactive communication skills essential to a transactional practice.

• Class of 2025 law school graduate
• Some experience or a demonstrated interest in private M&A and growth equity transactions
• Basic understanding of the due diligence process, ancillary workstreams, and organizing a signing/closing process
• Excellent academic credentials and comparable law firm experience
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Good judgment and the ability to manage internal and external client and counsel relationships proactively
• Relevant bar admission (or eligibility to obtain admission promptly)
• Deal sheet required
