A leading international law firm
Apply in confidence →An opportunity has arisen to join an expanding financial markets and products team within a sector-focused international law firm, working from its London office. The group brings together debt capital markets, structured finance, derivatives, restructuring and financial services regulatory capability, offering clients an integrated, cross-disciplinary service across energy, infrastructure and transport sectors.
The successful candidate will focus primarily on advising financial institutions, sponsors and corporate clients across the full spectrum of OTC derivatives needs, including interest rate, FX and inflation hedging, as well as more bespoke commodity-based transactions such as ISDA power purchase agreements.
The derivatives team works closely with specialist finance colleagues across sectors and offices in Europe, Asia and the US, handling transactions with a strong emphasis on secured finance-linked hedges in asset, project and acquisition financings — covering pre-hedging arrangements, deal-contingent hedges, syndications and restructurings. Work spans drafting and negotiation of ISDA, security and credit support documentation, alongside hedging strategies, policies and intercreditor arrangements across a broad range of markets, jurisdictions and capital structures.
- UK-qualified solicitor with 0–3 years' PQE gained at a respected law firm
- Excellent academic track record
- Broad knowledge of OTC derivatives products, ISDA documentation and associated credit support/security arrangements, particularly finance-linked hedging transactions
- Experience of LMA-based facility agreements and intercreditor agreements in acquisition, project or other secured financings
- Strong technical drafting skills and ability to produce clear, structurally consistent legal documents
- Comfortable managing transactions and operating autonomously, with a flexible, hands-on approach to client service
