Apply in confidence →Senior associate opportunity in a national corporate, M&A and securities practice with openings across multiple U.S. offices. The role focuses on middle‑market M&A and private equity transactions, including acquisition agreements, sponsor and portfolio company work, and related securities matters.
Ideal candidates will join a collaborative team and will be expected to support deals across the investment lifecycle—platform acquisitions, add‑ons, governance and exits—while managing client relationships and supervising junior lawyers. The role offers a large firm platform with internal advancement opportunities.
Position may be based in any U.S. office; candidates should indicate preferred office when applying. The firm expects in‑office attendance (approximately three days per week) and requires residence in the hiring jurisdiction at or before the start date. A competitive compensation package (base salary range disclosed for select jurisdictions) and benefits are offered.
- 5–7 years of corporate/M&A and private equity transactional experience.
- Strong drafting and negotiation skills for acquisition agreements and related documentation.
- Experience supporting private equity sponsors and portfolio companies across the investment lifecycle; familiarity with middle‑market deal structures preferred.
- JD from an ABA‑accredited law school and admission (or readiness to be admitted) to the hiring office jurisdiction.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, commercial judgment, and ability to manage client relationships and supervise junior staff.
- Large national or international law firm experience preferred; willingness to work in office ~3 days/week and reside in hiring jurisdiction at time of hire.
